CONTENTS
- I - What is a cookie?
- II - Cookies used on the site “health-private-insurance.com”
- III – Managing cookies
You are informed that, during your visits to the april-international.com site, cookies may be installed on your terminal equipment.
I - What is a "cookie"?
A cookie is a small text file which can be placed on the User's terminal when they are viewing a website or using an application. This is done through their browser software. The term cookie is understood here in a broad sense and covers any trackers which are placed and/or read when viewing the Sites, regardless of the type of terminal being used (PCs, smartphones, tablets etc.).
A cookie allows its issuer to identify the terminal on which it is stored, for the period during which this cookie is valid or is stored. Cookies are managed by the web browser and only the issuer of a cookie can read or amend the information they contain.
There are different types of cookies with various functions:
- Some cookies are required in order to use the Sites, while others make it possible to optimise and personalise the content being displayed, generate statistics or tailor advertising to the interests of the User.
- Some cookies are placed by third parties and others are placed by the Sites.
- Some cookies are session cookies which disappear as soon as the User leaves the site and others are permanent cookies which remain on the terminal until they expire or until the User deletes them using their browser functionalities.
II - Cookies used on the Sites “health-private-insurance.com” and “a-s-f.fr”
Different types of cookies are placed on the Sites:
2.1 Cookies required for the operation of the Sites
These are cookies placed exclusively by the Publisher and are essential for browsing the Sites. They allow the User to use the main functionalities of the Sites and ensure their connection is secure.
These cookies can be blocked. However, without these cookies the User will not be able to use the Sites in the normal manner.
2.2 Functionality cookies
These cookies are not essential for browsing the Sites.
Depending on the choices made by the User, they allow the Publisher to adapt how the Sites are presented to suit the display preferences on the User's terminal (language used, display resolution, operating system used etc.) during their visits to the Sites, based on the visualisation and reading equipment and software on their terminal.
Cookies used on the Sites:
Google Analytics
The Publisher uses a number of tools designed to measure use of the Sites. These tools make it possible to:
- identify the interests and behaviours of the User
- improve knowledge of the User in order to personalise the content
- to establish statistics and volumes of frequentation and use of the various elements composing the sites (sections and contents visited, routes), making it possible to improve the interest and ergonomics of the services.
What is the basis for collecting cookies?
The storing of cookies on the User's terminal essentially depends on the User’s preferences which they may express and amend at any time and free of charge through the options made available to them by their browser software, as described in Article III below.
If the User has accepted the storing of cookies in their terminal’s browser, the cookies inserted into the pages and content of the Sites they have visited may be stored temporarily in a dedicated area of their terminal. They will be read only by their issuer.
If the User rejects the storing of all cookies on their terminal, or if they delete any cookies stored there which are required for the functioning of the Sites, they will not be able to use the Sites in the normal manner and in particular will not be able to use certain functionalities of the Sites, due to the absence of the cookies required for the operation of the Sites.
If the User only rejects the storing of third-party cookies on their terminal, or if they delete those which are already stored there, they will be able to use the Sites normally as these third-party cookies have no impact on the operation of the Sites.
The Publisher accepts no responsibility for any consequences related to the downgrading of the Services of the Sites resulting from the impossibility of storing or viewing cookies required for their operation which the User has rejected or deleted.
III – Managing cookies
Several possibilities are available to the User to manage cookies.
3.1 By configuring the browser software
The User may choose at any time to express and amend their cookie preferences by the means described below.
The User can control the cookies using their browser configuration. Most browsers are configured by default to accept the placing of cookies and the User has the option, if they so wish, of choosing to accept all cookies, or rejecting them systematically or choosing the ones they want to accept depending on the issuer. The User can also configure their browser to accept or reject cookies on a case-by-case basis before they are placed. The User can also regularly delete cookies from their terminal using their browser.
To manage cookies and User preferences, the configuration of each browser is different. It is described in the browser’s help menu which will tell the User how to change their cookie preferences. T
he User can find information for the most popular browsers using the links below:
